A welcome from Kristin
When I made the choice to go to school for grooming, I never imaged I would end up opening my own shop. I spent so much time pushing myself to become a better groomer and learning as much as I could about the industry. As I studied, I realized I had finally found something that came naturally to me. This was something I just understood and learned so well. My passion for caring for animals helped me become the person I am today.
With eleven certifications and nine years of experience I have dedicated myself to continued education in order to provide the best care to my clients and their pets. I can never learn enough and I don’t plan to stop any time soon. Like my parents always told me, “Do something you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
A little about your favorite salon
K9 Coature is dedicated to providing beautiful clips, gentle care and all natural products. We understand that grooming can be stressful, so we book appointments one at a time so your pet has our full attention. Instead of being stuck in a kennel all day, surrounded by loud dogs, we are able to have your furry friend in and out with no distractions or stressors from a loud and over crowded environment.
Having personal experience with anxiety, it has been a goal of ours to create a stress free environment. Much of our time has been spent learning different ways to provide a calming experience. We provide a variety of products that help calm your pet, whether it be shampoo or calming treats or oils. With each pet having their own special time, we are able to create a space specifically dedicated to that pets needs with lighting, defuseres, music and even special matts that make them feel secure while they are on our tables. Learning how to read your pets stress signs helps them become more trusting of the grooming process and flows into a bond with your groomer, knowing they are safe with that person.
